In the six years I have served as Program Director and Facilities Coordinator for the Vashon Park District, I have worked hard to provide a wide range of recreational opportunities in the areas of art, environmental study, theatre, adult and youth sports, with special programs for teens and seniors.  Five years ago I developed and obtained funding for the stewardship program which today provides hands-on projects for all ages in our parks.     My goal for the next four years is to continue to pursue additional funding sources to taxpayer financed bonds or levies.     The Vashon Park District is an exciting and ever-evolving organization.  Although I made the decision earlier this year to leave the District's employ to become a full-time mother, I still have much to offer and look forward to serving you as Commissioner.
