King
County Elections is educating the disabled community, advocacy groups, and the public
about new, accessible voting equipment available at the polls this fall. Accessible
voting units, or AVUs, give voters with limited or partial sight and physical disabilities
the chance to vote a secret and more independent ballot for the first time.
