Provisional Ballot Processing

King County Elections employees Donald DeVolder and Jacque Lindstrand sort provisional ballots cast at the polls.  A provisional ballot is cast when a voter does not provide ID or when their name is not listed in the poll book.  Once sorted by county, ballots will be sent to the main Elections office or another county in Washington to be processed.  Provisional ballot signatures and registration information will be used to verify the voter's registration.  Provisional voters can click here to see if their ballot was counted.
