Nov. 15: Election Results Update

King County Elections counted an additional 30,992 absentee ballots today bringing the turnout for last Tuesday’s General Election to 49.79 percent with more valid ballots remaining. These numbers exceed pre-election turnout projections and indicate a likely final turnout between 52 to 53 percent when the election is certified on Nov. 29.

"This historically high turnout is a good indication that our voter outreach and education is having an impact," said Dean Logan, director of Records, Elections and Licensing Services. "At the end of the day voting is too sacred not to participate and our electorate is actively participating."

Election result summary:

  • 352,366 absentee ballots tabulated to date
  • 153,350 poll votes cast (which does not include provisional or challenged ballots)

The next posting of results will be Nov. 16 at approximately 4:30 p.m.
