What is the Partnership in Democracy Program? With the increased anticipated turn out at the upcoming 2008 elections, King County Elections has launched a new poll worker recruitment program... Partnership in Democracy Partnership in Democracy is a unique program that targets groups and organizations by encouraging non-partisan partnerships by serving as part of a team of three to four poll workers vs. an individual poll worker on Election Day. Many businesses, organizations and schools wish to stay politically neutral during an election, which is why the Partnership in Democracy program is the perfect fit for those seeking to build team camaraderie through non-partisan involvement. This program goes beyond simply recruiting individuals; it targets groups with an interest in promoting team building, civic pride and an opportunity to fundraise or earn community service hours. It touches on four different groups with opportunities targeted to their specific needs: local businesses, non-profit organizations, and college and high school students. If you share these values, we urge you to get involved today!
