Dick TAYLOR
Patrick O'BRIEN
If we are to make our community a success, I believe it is important to be open minded, but firm, when it comes to establishing our city's policies and priorities. My goal is to see positive changes to our city, while maintaining our quality of life.
I would actively work toward community development by making sure qualified candidates are found for key positions. I am for development, provided that the requirements for transportation and infrastructure are met and do not over-burden our already congested areas. It is important that all of Kenmore's potential be realized to benefit us all. Emphasis needs to be put on budgeting, planning and traffic issues. Our community must be assured that sound reasoning is being put into all development requirements.
I am knowledgeable of the issues facing us and would like to be active in setting the course of our new city.

I have had the opportunity to work with many of you on getting the incorporation issue passed. It was rewarding and exciting. I want to be on the Interim Council. I have the skills and the experience and the will to do this job. I need your vote.
I will be accessible to your problems -- your hopes. I will use my wit and my wits, my energies and my time-- toward getting the new city off to a good start.
There is little time. Our immediate task---- set up the new city, learn how to work together as a council, develop a cooperative relationship with surrounding cities, coordinate the transfer of services from King County and communicate with you.
We will know we have done our job when effective services are established, our direction is clear and people are contributing and involved.
Vote Taylor--tell your friends.

Deborah CHASE
A Kenmore resident since 1988, I am strongly committed to its future. I hold an MBA in accounting, have experience in auditing, project management, marketing and accounting, with a 15-year business background in telecommunications. My appointment to Kenmore's Governance Strategies Committee led to serving on the Kenmore Incorporation Committee. Additionally, Inglewood Golf Club and the Board of Trustees elected me their 1997 president.
I believe a practical business-like approach is essential during Kenmore's crucial start-up period. As your Council Member, I will work to:
• Maintain quality services at today's level of taxation while being fiscally responsible.
• Improve traffic flow in and through Kenmore, especially crossing Bothell Way.
• Foster citizen involvement through committees and consistent communications.
• Develop a vision and long-range plan for Kenmore based on citizen input.
If elected I pledge to do my utmost to get the City of Kenmore off to a great start.

The citizens of our newly-formed city of Kenmore have many crucial decisions to make in the coming years. I will help make those decisions by representing you on the Kenmore City Council, position 7.
We have seen our community change from a rural landscape into an urban community. Issues including police and fire protection, diminished open spaces, traffic gridlock, pedestrian safety, developments such as Lake Pointe, increased school population, all affect our property taxes and quality of life. Kenmore deserves a City Council that is responsive to our community's needs.
As a King County Sheriff/Court Security Officer, helping citizens solve problems is part of my daily responsibilities. I have the energy and the enthusiasm to help lead Kenmore into the future, with your support and vote on election day.
Your concerns are my concerns. Let's work together to make Kenmore a city of which we are all proud.
