List of Candidates for City of Sammamish Council-Interim Term--Position 7:

Robert E. (Bob) BRADY
MBA; married; 8 grandchildren; 16 year resident; and 10 years on incorporation effort.
GROWTH - I shall: support a development moratorium to stop unmitigated growth while we plan our way out of the mess; raise impact fees so that growth pays its way instead of taxpayers; assert concurrency rules so that infrastructure is not deteriorating further; and enforce tough, fair community environmental standards.
TRAFFIC - I want: safer roads; improved egress and ingress; improved service standards; and King County to pay for the roads it owes us, especially 228th.
PARKS AND TRAILS - I will invest in new parks and trails while respecting personal property rights.
YOUTH AND CHILDREN - I intend to be heavily involved in making this a place for kids to thrive.
EMERGENCY AND OTHER SERVICES - I support: contracts for services to meet community needs; and immediate improvement in police services.
CONCERNS OF RESIDENTS ARE MY TOP PRIORITY.

Ron HAWORTH
Our city will face immediate and significant challenges even for the most experienced elected officials. Serious problems related to our roads, population and services need attention while creating a city government from scratch. On the job training is not in our best interest.
Ron has over 34 years experience managing municipal budgets the size of our new city and taught budget skills to local municipalities. As fire chief of our local fire district he negotiated joint operation agreements between neighboring Cities and Fire Districts, developed ordinances, worked with city managers and mayors.
Ron is a lifelong resident of Washington, 29 years in Sammamish area, married (39 years), father of 2 and previous softball coach.
"We should Slow Growth with a temporary moratorium, provide critical fire and police services, maintain quality, parks, lakes, trees and support schools while we keep our taxes low."
