May 18, 1998 Special Election
Vote-by-Mail Information
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, May 18, 1999, in the area proposed for annexation to the City of Shoreline, known as Annexation Area A-2, King County, State of Washington, there will be held a Special Election, conducted as a mail ballot election, submitting to the voters for their approval or rejection the proposition.
The mail ballot election will be conducted in all precincts in the City of Shoreline proposed annexation area A-2. These precincts are Abbey, Ballinger, and Ione.
Ballots will be counted only if returned in the provided return envelope, signed by the registered voter, and postmarked no later than election day, May 18, 1999. Ballots can also be delivered to Records and Elections Division, 500 Fourth Avenue, Room 553, Seattle, WA, during normal business hours before May 18th, or from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on election day. In addition, ballots may be delivered to the designated drop-off location which is Lake Forest Park School, 18500 37th Avenue N.E., Lake Forest Park, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., May 18, 1999. No ballot can be accepted after 8:00 p.m. on election day unless it has been mailed and postmarked on or before that day.
If a ballot is destroyed, spoiled, or lost, a replacement ballot may be obtained in person from the King County Records and Elections Division, 500 Fourth Avenue, Room 553, Seattle, on or before election day.
