Janet GARROW
Janet Garrow is the right choice for District Court Judge. She has the knowledge, skills, legal experience and community commitment to serve as your judge. In her 10 years experience as a Pro Tem Judge, Janet has presided over cases in Bellevue and Northeast District Courts and municipal courts in Seattle and Kent. Janet served as a City of Bellevue prosecutor and has 17 years of legal practice in King County. Her court experience includes the Washington Supreme Court, Courts of Appeal, Superior Courts, King County District and Juvenile Courts, and Federal Courts. Janet Garrow is respected by judges, attorneys and civic leaders for her integrity and hard work. The King County Bar Association has rated her WELL QUALIFIED. The Asian and Hispanic Bar Associations, Washington LEGALS and Washington Women Lawyers have given Janet their HIGHEST ratings. The outcome of these cases must reflect the law, neighborhoods values, and the quality of life in our community. • I believe my extensive experience in the district court system as prosecutor of Mercer Island has provided me with unusual insight into the responsibilities of being a judge. I have also served as a judge pro tempore, and have provided free legal assistance when asked. • I believe that during my 18 years as a trial attorney I have developed the legal skills and compassion to protect all citizens in a fair and impartial manner. • I believe that the best way to uphold the high standard of the judiciary is to be a person of integrity, treating all citizens with dignity and respect and following the law without personal bias.
