David S. ADMIRE
|
Judge Admire has served as your District Court Judge since 1983. During this time, Judge Admire has started new and innovative programs to reduce the reoffense rate of criminal defendants. He has started the DWI Victims Panel which requires drunk drivers to listen to the victims of drunk drivers explain what has happened to them and their families. This program has been copied in most states across the country. He has started the Lifeskills program for young adults with learning disabilities and ADD which has reduced recidivism 40%. These types of new programs resulted in Judge Admire being awarded the 1996 Traffic Safety Innovations Excellence in the Judiciary award. Judge Admire has been consistently highly rated by the lawyers coming before him.
Judge Admire's other activities include being a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association for Children of Alcoholics and the National Prevention Faculty. He was an adjunct professor at Seattle University from 1977-1997. He has been very active in preventing alcoholism and drug addiction in our young people. In his community, Judge Admire has coached Little League baseball and soccer, and is active in his local church.
