success storiesQuit Tobacco Program – Success Stories

The following success story was emailed to the Health Matters Team during the 2006 Live Well Challenge:

Hi, I would like to share that I have found the Commit Lozenges to be the key to success. The reason is they can be used "in place of smoking"…they aren't exactly the same of course, but it gives a long term smoker (over 40 years for me) something "to do" at the times when I most want a cigarette and they last a long time, like 20-30 minutes, unlike gum or patches etc., I hope this might help someone who has tried other ways but kept falling back.

I am on my fourth month and I just don't feel that "gotta have a cigarette feeling"…even when people smoke right in front of me!

Another tip is if a person needs something to do with their hands when sitting with their lozenge, I find puzzel books (like Sudoku sp? crossword or Word find) keeps a person occupied!
