Over the past three years, the King County Historic Preservation Program has worked with project partners to develop a rehabilitation and enhancement plan for Des Moines Memorial Drive. This 12-mile corridor was planted as a Living Road of Remembrance in 1919-1922 to honor fallen soldiers of World War I. The Plan will guide future advocacy and restoration activities to restore and consistently manage this unique heritage corridor as a place of honor in South King County.
