More than 150 businesses such as the Boeing Company, Galvin Flying Service and United Parcel Post are located at King County Airport. In addition to hundreds of small aircraft owners, airport tenants include commercial airlines, airfreight companies, aircraft service and repair, flight schools, charter operations and helicopter services. These businesses contributed more than $1.6 Million to the Puget Sound region's economy in 2002.
According to a recent University of Washington study, the airport generated over 10,000 jobs in King County, including the 3,900 people who work there everyday. The airport is one of the busiest general aviation airports in the country, and operations are expected to increase by 50% over the next two decades. BRED provides technical support to the airport regarding business development.
