Sims sends condolences to Herzog family
King County Executive Ron Sims, who has been out of town with
his family the past week, sent his condolences in a personal note to the family of King County
Sheriff's Deputy Richard
Herzog who lost his life on Saturday, June 22, 2002 protecting the citizens he served. Following is Executive
Sims' note to the Herzog family:

Dear Mrs. Herzog and family,
I wish to express my most heartfelt sympathy to you and your family on the
loss of your husband, Deputy Richard Herzog. I am deeply stunned by this senseless tragedy.
Please know that the thoughts and prayers of not only my family and myself
are with you but of all those whose lives he touched through work and friendship.
