The alliance was formed following recommendations by the King County Health Advisory Task Force convened by Executive Sims last year.
Members of the alliance include: King County, Starbucks, Washington Mutual, the state of Washington, Group Health, the City of Seattle, REI, Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle Surgery Center, Regence BlueShield, the Community Health Plan of Washington, the Hope Heart Institute, The Polyclinic, Port Blakely Companies, Puget Sound Energy, Qualis Health and the Foundation for Health Care Quality.
