The General Accounting Office ruling in Boeing's favor on the Air Force tanker bid protest is a great victory for Boeing and the Pacific Northwest. Having the chance for a new, fairer re-bid process would allow Boeing to show once again why it is the best manufacturer for the 179 tankers the Air Force needs.

This opportunity would not have been possible with out the persistence of Washington's governor and congressional delegation, which quickly recognized the flaws in the original selection process and went to work on correcting this decision.

The Northwest recently posted its highest unemployment numbers in two years, so it's critical that we fight for a fair shot at the thousands of jobs and tremendous economic boost that this deal represents for our region.
