Applying for the Paul Robeson Scholar-Athlete Award Program

Eligibility criteria: The Paul Robeson Scholar Athlete Award Program recognizes youth who achieve in athletics and academics. The program aims to motivate youth to be leaders on the playing field and in the classroom.

Following are guidelines used for the program:

  • Students must be between the ages of 5-15.
  • Students must maintain a 3.00 grade point average or above for an entire academic year.
  • Students must be members of a sports association participating in the Paul Robeson Scholar Athlete Awards.

  • Capitol Hill Soccer Association
  • Empowering Youth and Families Organization
  • Magnolia Little League Baseball
  • Magnolia Soccer Club
  • Mt. Baker/Lakewood Soccer Association
  • Queen Anne Soccer Association
  • Rainier Beach Youth Sports Association
  • Rainier District Little League
  • Rainier District Athletic Association
  • Seattle Asian Sports Club
  • Seattle Chinese Athletic Association
  • Swim Seattle
  • Tukwila Youth Basketball League
  • Washington Hurricane Fastpitch Softball Association
  • Young Educated Athletes

If you are interested in nominating a student athlete for the Paul Robeson Scholar-Athlete Award, you must work through one of the organizations listed above.
