the Board
The King County
Disability Retirement Board for LEOFF-1 represents 14 fire districts
and 12 public safety departments in unincorporated King County as
well as the King County Sheriff's Office. The Board's jurisdiction
covers a membership of approximately 633 active-duty and retired
LEOFF-1 fire fighters and police officers.
The Board reviews
and rules on claims for reimbursement of medical expenses and applications
for disability leave and retirement benefits mandated under Washington
State LEOFF retirement Plan 1.
Who is on the
Board? Five voting members, a medical consultant, a mental health consultant, a legal consultant and an administrator.
