Application Development
TNET Editor
A
customized TNET Editor
has been developed to maintain
the transportation
network features. This application
operates within ESRI’s
ArcGIS 8.3 environment, however,
the TNET Team is exploring the
use of ArcGIS 9. Users will
spatially edit TNET features
using standard ArcGIS tools and
will launch the TNET Editor graphical user interface
to maintain attributes
for those features.
Users
will access the transportation
network data for ongoing maintenance
of features using new
technology available from Tadpole-Cartesia
called Go!
Sync
(external link). This
technology will allow
data maintainers to
synchronize a locally maintained
copy of the transportation network
with other data maintainers through
a central data repository. Licenses
to use this technology will be
provided to Consortium participating
agencies by King County.
System Requirements
The TNET
Editor has the following system
requirements:
- ArcGIS
8.3
ArcEditor or ArcINFO license
- PC
specifically configured to
access the repository
through I-NET or Go! Sync
PC
sizing requirements are comparable
to those for ArcGIS.
- Network
access
Requires Go!
Sync (external link) (provided by King County)
and internet access.
- Database
SDE (using Oracle or SQLServer)
or Personal Geodatabase (PGDB).
