Data Development
The TNET
project is creating a new GIS
transportation
network data layer that represents
the best approximation to ground
truth transportation features.
King
County Road Services developed
the network from the most current
data available from various cities
within the county digitized against
best available orthophotography.
The linework was randomly GPS’ed
and will be updated utilizing
digital orthophotography that
was flown in late 2002. Attributes
from
the King
County Street Network and from GDT’s Dynamap
product have been conflated onto
this linework. Linework for other
modes including rail lines, pedestrian
walkways, water courses, bicycle
paths, and equestrian trails
have been or are being added
to create a multi-modal transportation
network.
