Overview
KCGIS
Census Resources is a brownbag workshop which introduces the web-based
application Census Viewer
to new users. With Census Viewer in a web browser one can view maps
and tables of more than 100 community census data indicators for
77 defined places throughout all of King County. Attendees to this
workshop will also be introduced to the census data that is available
in the King County GIS Spatial Data Warehouse.
Audience
KCGIS
Census Resources is for those who would like to become familiar
with Census Viewer's browser-based interface, the information that
Census Viewer displays, and KCGIS census data resources. No prior
knowledge of Census Viewer or GIS is required.

Prerequisites

Registrants
may wish to start up and use Census
Viewer a few times prior to this workshop. Rudimentary knowledge
of Census Viewer terms, such as census tract and census block (see
the Census Viewer Glossary),
and basic Microsoft Internet Explorer skills are assumed. |
