(Netscape, Internet Explorer, etc.) A: In the Browser's address window type in the following URL: ftp://edclpdsftp.cr.usgs.gov/orders/0800601180084_00001 Click on the file(s) you want to download and save to disk. Q: Where can I get FTP Software to access your FTP site? A: Free versions of FTP software can be downloaded from the web, unfortunately we can not recommend any type of software. Check your PC, you may already have FTP software on it. Q: My ten days have expired and my data is no longer on the FTP site. What do I do? A: If you do not retrieve the data within the ten (10 ) day time frame, the only way to re-post the data to the FTP site is to place a new order at your expense. Q: I started downloading the data and it's taking forever to download. Why? A: Most data have very large files sizes, the larger the file the longer the download time. Average file sizes are as follows: MSS - 300-500mb TM - 500-550mb ETM+- 500mb-1gb **You may want to check your download transfer rate, this will give you an idea of how long it will take to download each file. Q: I'm trying to download the data but I keep getting disconnected? A: You are probably experiencing a timeout problem. You will need to contact your Internet Service Provider or check your computer setting to extend the time you are allowed to download data. Q: I downloaded the data but its not working? A: Do you have software that is compatible with the data you downloaded? If so, you may need to check with your software provider. If not, you will need to acquire compatible software to use the data. (**You may need to convert the data to a format that is compatible with your software.)
