Where to get tested for HIV in King County

Definitions

  • Anonymous Testing means that the clinic keeps no record of your name. They use only a code to process your records and your blood specimen.

  • Confidential Testing means that the clinic keeps your name in their records and must keep your medical record information (like all other recorded information) private and they are generally prohibited from releasing HIV information except by your written permission.  Patients often sign a consent to bill form which gives permission to release information to an insurance company. You can check this with your provider.

Walk-in clinic for STD evaluation and HIV testing

  • Monday, Wednesday-Friday, 7:45 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Tuesday, 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM

Walk-in patients are advised to arrive at the clinic before 3:00 PM. We can usually see all patients who arrive before 3:00 and sometimes take additional walk-in patients after 3:00, but it is hard to predict.

If you want to be seen on a walk-in basis, it is best to call the clinic at 206-744-3590 and ask if we can serve you. If we cannot see you that day due to large volumes, we will let you know and suggest an alternate time that may work better.

Fees are based on income using a sliding scale. NO PERSON WILL BE DENIED SERVICE BECAUSE OF INABILITY TO PAY. Patients may be charged a minimum fee of $15. Fees will be discussed with the provider you see.

For information on STDs, call the HIV/STD Hotline for information at
