Health Advisory: Responding to public queries about suspect illnesses

October 12, 2001

Please be advised that Public Health - Seattle & King County cannot diagnose any illness you are experiencing by email or phone. If you are feeling ill, use the same judgment that you would usually use when deciding to see a physician. If you would ordinarily see your health care provider for the symptoms you are having, you should see a physician. If you would not ordinarily see your health care provider, there is no reason to change your usual practice. There is no unusual disease activity in our community, and there are no special reasons why persons should seek medical care or evaluation at this time
