HIV prevention funds available for 2008 and 2009

KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON - Public Health – Seattle & King County announces the availability of the 2008-2009 HIV/AIDS Prevention/Education funding application package. All agencies interested in receiving Prevention/Education funds through Public Health must participate in this competitive application process which will result in the allocation of Prevention/Education funds in King County for the period January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2009.

The estimated amount available for the 24 month period of this competitive allocation process is $2.852 million. Assumptions about the availability of funds may be subject to change.

Public Health staff will review the application packet and offer technical assistance to applicant agencies at a Bidders Conference on Tuesday, May 29th from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Safeco Jackson Street Center, 306 23rd Avenue South in Seattle. All potential applicants are strongly encouraged to attend, as this Request for Proposal (RFP) contains several changes from previous funding cycles.

Applications are due by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2007.
