KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON - Beginning this weekend and continuing through July, Public Health Seattle & King County will be moving administration and several programs into the New King County Office Building in downtown Seattle. No disruptions in service are expected, but contact information will change. Public Health Centers across the county will not be affected by the move.
The mailing address of the new building will be 401 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA, 98104. Public Health will be located on floors 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, with suite addresses corresponding to the floor (e.g., Suite 1300). All Public Health floors will have public operating hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; visitors will need to check in at the floor’s front desk.
Most staff phone numbers will change, but calls to existing numbers will be redirected for three months after the move. Importantly, all public contact phone numbers, such as the main Public Health phone line and information hotlines, will not change.
Here is the schedule for Public Health’s move into the New King County Office Building:
- July 9 -- Prevention Division administration and some programs.
- July 16 -- Community Health Services Division administration and some programs, Environmental Health administration and some programs, and some Jail Health staff.
