WORK LOCATION: The DAJD Juvenile Division Health Clinic, located at 1211 E. Alder, Seattle, WA 98122.
WORK SCHEDULE: This is a 40-hour work week, overtime eligible position. The normal work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For purposes of providing nursing supervision to all shifts, becoming familiar with duties on all shifts, and/or rare staffing emergencies/schedule adjustments, weekend and/or shift work may be required (including evenings, weekends, holiday and overtime).
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: This classification is responsible for providing overall supervision of the work and professional practice of RN’s and para-professionals such as Nursing Assistants, for the purpose of developing and implementing health services to juveniles detained at the DAJD Juvenile Division. The essential functions of this position are detailed on the second page of this announcement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Washington State license as a Registered Nurse in good standing. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a school of nursing accredited by the National League of Nursing, or equivalent. Recent experience as an RN in an ambulatory care setting; previous experience in a supervisory capacity in nursing, social services, government or other relevant field. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid Washington State driver’s license, or the alternative ability to travel around the County is required. Selected candidates must pass a thorough background investigation process which includes a polygraph, criminal history check, reference checks, psychological testing and evaluation; selected candidates must also pass a pre-employment physical.
