The King County District Court, East Division, Shoreline Courthouse is located at 18050 Meridian Avenue North, Shoreline, Washington 98133.
The East Division has seven judges elected to serve the area. They are: Judge Janet Garrow, Division Presiding;Judge Linda Jacke; Judge Peter Nault; Judge Mary Ann Ottinger; Judge Douglas Smith; Judge David Steiner; and Judge Fred Yeatts.
The Court processes over 21,000 cases a year. Filings include traffic and non-traffic misdemeanors, infractions, Civil and Small Claims cases, and Domestic Violence Orders for Protection, along with Name Changes. Passport applications are accepted on Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m..
The Shoreline Courthouse serves the cities of Shoreline and Kenmore. The University of Washington Police and the Washington State Patrol also file cases with the Shoreline Courthouse.
The Shoreline Courthouse houses a King County District Court Probation Department, a King County Prosecuting Attorney’s office, and a Domestic Violence Victim Advocate serving the cities of Shoreline, Kenmore and the State of Washington. The Juvenile Conference Committee for King County makes use of the courthouse in the evenings for parent/child diversion hearings.
Shoreline Court is proud to partner with the Shoreline Arts Council in presenting the “Concerts at the Court” summer concert series. Over the years this has become a series of fun gatherings anticipated and enjoyed by community members of all ages.
