Metro's popular primary school program includes use of puppets, props, an interactive poem and discussion about riding on Metro buses. The hour-long program also includes an actual bus ride.
"Ride with Pride"
for 1st-3rd grades
Meet Mannfred the MetroGnome and Omer the Trolley Troll. Our anti-vandalism message is introduced at the second and third grade level. Students are surprised to find out who owns the Metro buses and get to meet the Metro bus owner in their very own class.
At the end of the program each student receives a packet of materials and a Ride with Pride pin. Each teacher receives a folder with additional transit materials and a set of flashcards or a game for their classroom.
