Motorists should be aware of lane closures in Kenmore this weekend on the bridge crossing the Sammamish Slough on Juanita Drive N.E.

On Saturday, May 12, the King County Department of Transportation will close down the two southbound lanes of the Kenmore Bridge and divert traffic onto the northbound bridgeway to do road maintenance. The northbound bridge will have one lane open in each direction Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

King County has been contracted by the city of Kenmore to repair the bridge. Recently, the approach roadway has settled at both ends of the southbound bridge. County crews will excavate the settled areas, backfill with a more stable material, and then repave. Both ends of the bridge will be repaired in one long day rather than two, so that disruption to the public is minimized.
