Six-day closure scheduled for North Fork Bridge near North Bend

The North Fork Bridge near North Bend will be closed for six days starting Monday, June 11, so crews can repair the roadway on both ends of the bridge. The closure will begin at 7 a.m. Monday, June 11, and is expected to last through Saturday, June 16. The bridge is located on 428th Avenue Southeast north of North Bend.

The King County Road Services Division is digging out both roadway approaches of the North Fork Bridge because they are settling and creating large bumps as cars drive onto the bridge deck. Once the bumps are smoothed out, the roadway will be repaved.

The county is closing 428th Avenue Southeast from Southeast Reinig Road to Southeast 92nd Street. During the closure, motorists should take State Route 202 as an alternate route.
