Release date: June 18, 2001

Three-week closure on 308th Avenue S.E.

The King County Department of Transportation will be closing a small bridge on 308th Avenue Southeast over Patterson Creek northwest of Fall City for three weeks beginning Monday, June 25.

The bridge will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday, June 25, through 6 p.m. Sunday, July 15.

The bridge is just north of State Route 202 and south of Southeast 31st Street. Repairs will be performed by the county bridge maintenance crews and include:

  • Digging up the approach roadway to replace rotted timbers;
  • Banding split timber piling;
  • Repairing concrete spalls; and
  • Installing seismic retrofit measures.

Traffic will be detoured to Southeast 31st Street, a quarter-mile to the west of Southeast 308th Avenue.
