Vashon Heights park & ride to close for repaving

The King County Department of Transportation will close the Vashon Heights park-and-ride lot for two weekends for repaving.

To accommodate preparation work, the lot will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, to 9 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 19. Motorists are advised not to leave cars in the lot overnight on Friday, or their vehicles could be towed.

Repaving is scheduled to close the lot again from 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26. That work is weather dependent and could be postponed.

Metro Transit’s Vashon Heights park-and-ride lot is at 103rd Avenue Southwest and Southwest Cowan Road.
