Metro Transit announces special services for Labor Day, Bumbershoot, Puyallup Fair

This Labor Day, Metro Transit will be operating under a Sunday schedule, which includes limited bus service to most areas and reduced holiday fares. All-day passes and family fares will be available on Monday, Sept. 3, for all Metro routes. The all-day pass is good for unlimited riding throughout the day and is available from bus drivers for $2.50. The family fare allows up to four children age 17 and under to ride free with a fare-paying adult. Metro's administrative offices and the bus tunnel in downtown Seattle will be closed on Labor Day.

Metro Transit is also offering special shuttle service to and from the Bumbershoot Festival at Seattle Center over the Labor Day weekend. Shuttles will be available from both Northgate and downtown Seattle on Sept. 1 - 3. Regular bus service to Seattle Center will be provided as usual on routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 13, 15, 16, 18, 24 and 33.

From Sept. 8 - 23, Metro Transit will be offering special shuttle services to the Puyallup Far on Saturdays and Sundays from the south Federal Way park-and-ride lot, the Federal Way Transit Center and the Auburn park-and-ride lot. Customers are asked to park in designated park-and-ride spaces only. Metro's Puyallup Fair shuttles will display a "Fair Special" sign above the front window. Riders will be dropped off and picked up at the Puyallup Fair's Blue Gate between 10:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
