Metro Transit will be operating on a Holiday/Sunday schedule for Memorial
Day on Monday, May 27, and have special service available for holiday
events.
The holiday schedule includes limited bus service to most areas and reduced
holiday fares. All-day passes and family fares will be available on Monday for
all Metro routes.
The all-day pass is good for unlimited riding throughout the day and is
available for $2.50 when you board the bus. The family fare allows up to four
children – age 17 and under – to ride free with a fare-paying adult.
Also during the holiday weekend, Metro will provide special shuttle service
to and from the Northwest Folklife Festival at Seattle Center. Shuttles depart
from the Northgate Park and Ride lot and the Northgate Transit Center, as well
as from northbound 1st Avenue and the Pike Place Market Festival in downtown
Seattle.
Both
services will operate every 20 minutes on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10
a.m. until 11 p.m. Regular fares apply on both of these shuttles.
On Saturday and Sunday, a shuttle will operate for the Maritime Heritage
Festival at South Lake Union. $1 fares will be collected on buses departing
from Seattle Center to the festival, and the return trip is free.
Metro’s administrative offices and the bus tunnel in downtown Seattle will
be closed on Memorial Day.
