King County Metro Transit is looking for people to share and review ideas on
how to improve transit service in Shoreline, Lake Forest Park and the Northgate
area.
Metro is seeking approximately 15 transit riders and community members to
serve on its North King County Transit Sounding Board. The sounding board will
begin meeting in mid-November, and hold six meetings over four months. Sounding
board members are also expected to attend two community workshops.
Board members will help transit planners from Metro and northend cities
develop ideas for improving bus service. Goals include: improving east-west
service; increasing the frequency of local service; and maximizing the
efficiency of commute-time trips.
Anyone who lives, works or uses transit in this geographic is eligible to
submit an application to serve on the sounding board. For more information or
an application, contact Pat Cleary, KCDOT community relations, at 206-684-1142
(voice), 206-684-1682 (TTY) or by email at pat.cleary@metrokc.gov.
