Metro begins Sonics service Wednesday

Starting Wednesday, Oct. 30, the Seattle SuperSonics, Seattle Center, King County Metro Transit, Key Arena and the Monorail have teamed up to provide the transit service for Sonics fans during the 2002-2003 season.

Parking and congestion can be tough near the arena, particularly for those weeknight games. Metro has several routes that serve the Seattle Center area, making it convenient for basketball fans to leave their cars at home or at a park and ride lot.

After the game, Metro has special service to nine outlying Park & Rides. On weekends, Metro runs the Sonics shuttles both before and after the games. The fare is only $1 each way.

For all the details, visit the Sonics service Web page at Metro Online.
