Daily closures planned for
196th Avenue NE near Redmond

The King County Road Services Division will temporarily close 196th Avenue Northeast (the Red Brick Road) to through traffic on a daily basis for three weeks beginning Monday, Nov. 4.

The road will be closed Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is expected to reopen by the evening of Friday, Nov. 22 between Union Hill Road to State Route 202 (Redmond-Fall City Road).

During the temporary closure, crews will repair and replace some crumbling bricks on the historic road. They will also be repairing the gravel shoulder.

Motorists should avoid the area during the closure. Only local residents will have access.
