News from King County Department of Transportation
METRO SERVICE ALERT Snow, ice may affect Tuesday travel King County Metro Transit is advising passengers that snowy, icy roads could affect bus travel on Tuesday morning. Overnight freezing temperatures are expected, and snow and rain that fell across King County Monday evening may contribute to treacherous driving conditions on Tuesday. If travel in your area is impacted by snow and ice Tuesday morning, or is in hilly areas, buses could be on snow reroutes. See Metro Online or check paper timetables for pre-established snow routing for specific bus routes. Board buses on flat portions of arterial roads, at park-and-ride lots and transit centers, or other major transfer points. Passengers are reminded to wait for their bus at the top or the bottom of steep hills, dress warmly for the wait, and be patient. Use your bus route's regularly posted schedule to plan your travel, but be sure to allow plenty of time for your trip and be prepared for possible delays. Metro appreciates your patience when weather conditions make travel difficult.
