Photo:  Gunter, a new hi-tech asphalt grinder. Welcome to the machine. It’s the start of the summer road construction and repair season and this year King County is counting on a new hi-tech asphalt grinder to complete jobs faster, more cost efficiently and with fewer traffic disruptions.

Bike right. Bikestation Seattle is a new concept in bicycle security, rental and repair. Join us for the grand opening of the facility and listen in as King County Executive Ron Sims and the manager of Metro’s bicycle program talk about the future of bikes on buses.

Photo:  Move it! banner. Move it! A campaign conceived and executed by youngsters in the Issaquah-Sammamish area shows how to gain freedom and independence by using alternative forms of transportation.

Talking signs. Check out this test program that will help the visually impaired make their way through busy bus and train stations.

Inside Transportation is a half-hour program designed to help you understand and better use the transportation options available to you.  It is a presentation of the King County Department of Transportation Public Affairs Unit.

"Inside Transportation" airs on King County Civic Television (CTV) Tuesday nights at 5 p.m., Wednesday mornings at 5 a.m., and various other times during the week.

You can request this program be shown for you by contacting CTV at 206-296-0300 or e-mailing them at ctv@metrokc.gov. You can view CTV on these channels:
  • AT&T Cable Services — Channel 22 in most areas of King County
  • Millennium Digital Media — Channel 72 or 80 in downtown Seattle and lower Queen Anne.
