Inside Transportation for September 2003

Inside Transportation is a half-hour program designed to help you understand and better use the transportation options available to you.  It is a presentation of the King County Department of Transportation Public Affairs Unit. The show airs on King County Civic Television (CTV) Tuesday nights at 5 p.m., Wednesday mornings at 5 a.m., and various other times during the week.

Photo:  September service change September service change. The signs are all in place, Metro riders will see some route changes starting September 27th. Find out which areas of King County will experience the most changes and hear from community "Sounding Board" members who helped research and implement the changes.

Highlands Drive. It’s the newest road through the Issaquah Highlands, giving residents of Issaquah and the Sammamish Plateau traffic relief and another option for accessing I-90. And it’s got a cool new pedestrian/bike path that water soaks right through!

Photo:  Fleet shopping Fleet Shopping. King Counties Fleet Division store has those hard to find items like concrete culverts and road signs, and they’re making them available to other government entities at substantial savings.

One Stuffed Bus. Metro riders go to the head of the class by stuffing a bus full of supplies for students who were facing the prospect of going back to school without the tools they needed for their studies.

  • AT&T Cable Services — Channel 22 in most areas of King County
  • Millennium Digital Media — Channel 72 or 80 in downtown Seattle and lower Queen Anne.
