Inside Transportation for July-August 2006  

Inside Transportation is designed to help you understand how the King County Department of Transportation serves the public and how to take advantage of the transportation options available to you.  It is a presentation of the King County Department of Transportation Public Affairs Unit. "Inside Transportation" airs on King County Television (KCTV) Tuesday nights at 5 p.m., Thursday nights at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m.

Transit Now proposal King County Executive Ron Sims has delivered the Transit Now proposal to the King County Council.  The executive shares his views on why their is an immediate need to upgrade bus service in King County.

 .

Other voices Representatives of the Transportation Choices Coalition, Puget Sound Clean Air Agency and King County Environmental Health give their views on why more transit options would be good for environment, reducing traffic and good for our health.

What's next The panel of experts assembled for this show discuss the final details of the Transit Now proposal and what happens next as it works its way through the King County Council and takes shape for county voters to decide.
