Narrator says:
Designated by the National Air Transportation Association as one of the country's "100 most needed airports," King County International Airport, also known as Boeing Field is an important contributor to the local, regional and state economy.

The airport sees more than 300,000 take off and landing operations every year, and is home to dozens of aviation-related businesses.

Recently dozens of tenants and community members gathered to watch a video produced by the National Business Aviation Association that features the airports tenant round table as the model the NBAA would like to see adopted by airports across the country for improving community relations and addressing airport related issue.

The NBAA’s senior vice president explains.

Steve Brown/NBAA Senior VP says:
We’ve shown it more than 60 times across the country, so it's being shown a couple of times every week as you can see.

Thousands of local officials, pilots, suppliers and community activists have seen it and as you would expect, we take it to places where dialogue is locked up or about to become unproductive.

We're trying to make them see there is a way to break through that and to have a very constructive dialogue that can have very productive outcomes.

I just want to thank you all again and your leadership in King County for being the model for that and allowing us to reflect it throughout the country and hopefully change the way we do business.

Narrator says:
King County Executive Ron Sims was also on hand to congratulate the airport round table.

Ron Sims/King County Executive says:
The Round Table is comprised of a large cross section of people with an interest in this airport and it helps us identify concerns and achieve real solutions that keep our neighbors and partners happy and keep this engine at the airport running.

We will continue to do so with the help of our neighbors and partners because that's what good neighbors do.

Narrator says:
King County International Airport’s roundtable has 16 members and makes recommendations to airport administration, the King County Executive, and the King County Council.
