What former interns have said about the program

"My internship at King County really helped me gain the skills and experience necessary to succeed in the real world. I was fortunate enough to work on and complete some small-scale projects from start to finish, which gave me the confidence and drive to succeed in the future. Now I am happy to be a full-time employee for the King County Department of Transportation."

— Nadeem Mohammad, Engineer I

"“Working as an Engineering Intern in the King County Department of Transportation allowed me to expand my engineering skills through everyday duties and trainings. The internship also allowed me to gain real life experience working in the engineering field. These experiences gave me advantages and qualifi cations that helped me to obtain my current full-time position in the DOT.
