Roads Maintenance — About us

The Roads Maintenance Section is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, repair, and small-scale construction of over 1,800 miles of roadway, 187 bridges (six co-owned with other jurisdictions), approximately 50 miles of unpaved roads within unincorporated King County and provides miscellaneous road-related services to eight contract cities.

Our mission is to maintain and enhance the current condition of roadways and facilities in an efficient and environmentally responsible manner to protect the public's investment and facilitate safe travel.
