Transportation Concurrency Management ProgramThe King County Council adopted a Transportation Concurrency Management requirement in Ordinance 11617, on Jan. 9, 1995 and revised it under Ordinance 2007-0149, on June 22, 2007. The ordinance established a concurrency management system which assures adequate transportation facilities are available to meet the requirements of any new development in King County. A concurrency review must be completed by a Road Services Transportation Planner before you can apply for a development permit in unincorporated King County. To begin the concurrency review process, fill out and submit a concurrency application. A Certificate of Concurrency is issued by the Planner when concurrency review is successful. The Certificate of Concurrency is needed prior to application for most development permits.
Check your property's concurrency zoneCheck your property's transportation concurrency zone using the King County Geographic Information System Parcel Viewer. After you find your property, click on "Districts Report" located on the lower left-hand side of the page. Scroll down to find the concurrency zone number. To view the Acrobat .pdf files linked above you will need to use the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software.
