Employers/Employees

Whether you are an employer or employee in South Lake Union — driving less makes good sense. As gas prices rise and parking spaces get harder to find, encouraging people to walk, bike, bus or carpool to work saves money, is good for the environment and helps people — and businesses — stay healthy.

South Lake Union Employers:

Whatever size your business, Metro wants to help you encourage more of your employees to get to work in fewer cars. Here’s what you can do:

  • Help your employees pay for their bus pass or vanpool fare using pre-tax dollars. It’s a free and easy way to give them a raise!! Check out our how to brochure.
  • Find out about other employer programs through which you can support your employees in their choice to commute without driving alone to work.
  • Take advantage of the additional Metro resources and incentives listed below.
