  Veteran’s Day transit service

Photo: Tomb of the UnknownsMetro Transit will operate on a partial holiday schedule for Veteran’s Day, Friday, Nov. 11.

The following routes will be cancelled on Friday, but all have alternative service: 45, 46, 76, 77, 79, 133, 167, 197, 202, 205, 272, 277, 304, 308, 311, and 373. Selected trips on routes 48, 65, 67, 68, 372 and 540 will not operate due to the University of Washington not being in session. Read the timetable symbols at the end of the weekday timetable to determine which trips will not run.

The George Benson Waterfront Streetcar and Sound Transit Express buses will operate on a regular weekday schedule. Most Metro offices will be closed.

MEHVA offers night-time tour

Photo: Vintage trolley busThe Metro Employees Historic Vehicle Association (MEHVA) is hosting a three-hour tour of Seattle’s distinctive and varied nightlife neighborhoods this Saturday, Nov. 12.

Travel by trolley to Pioneer Square, Broadway, lower Queen Anne and the University District, with stops for photos and coffee.

The 1940-vintage trolleys depart at 5 p.m. from the intersection of Second Avenue South and South Main Street in Pioneer Square, across the street from the Seattle Fire Department Headquarters. The fares are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (65 and over) and $4 for children (2-11). Metro transfers, tickets, or passes are not accepted. No food or beverages are allowed onboard the historic buses.
