Here is a list of King County Department of Transportation projects that may disrupt traffic and travel in the coming weeks:

May 5, 2008

15th Avenue Southwest – Crews are scheduled to repave a section of 15th Avenue Southwest in the White Center area on Wednesday and Thursday, May 7 and 8. The road will be closed to most traffic between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. between Southwest Roxbury Street and Southwest 100th Street.

Green River Gorge Road – The Green River Gorge Bridge on Green River Gorge Road will be closed on Thursday, May 8 from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for a routine bridge inspection. Motorists can detour via Green River Gorge Road or Enumclaw-Franklin Road to State Route 169.

Tolt Bridge – The Tolt Bridge on Northeast Tolt Hill Road is closed as King County prepares to open a new bridge across the Snoqualmie River. The road, which will be reconnected to the new bridge, is expected to be closed through Friday, May 30. Motorists can detour via State Route 202 and State Route 203.

Vashon Highway – The Vashon Highway along Quartermaster Harbor will be closed daily between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 9. The highway will be closed between Southwest 228th Street and Southwest Burton Drive while crews replace the drainage system in the area and repair erosion on the highway shoulder.

North Fork Road Southeast – Wagners Bridge, which carries North Fork Road Southeast over the North Fork of the Snoqualmie River about 10 miles northeast of North Bend, is closed for construction. The road is a popular access point to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness for hikers and recreationalists. While the bridge is closed, motorists can purchase a vehicle access permit into the backcountry, or access the Alpine Lakes area on Forest Service roads from the north and east.

Weather-related road closures can be found online.
