  Here is a list of King County Department of Transportation projects that may disrupt traffic and travel in the coming weeks:

June 30, 2008

Kelly Road Northeast – Work begins Monday, July 7 at 8 a.m. on three culvert replacement projects between Carnation and Duvall, which will close Kelly Road from Northeast Stossel Creek Way to Lake Joy Road through Aug. 9. Motorists can detour via Northeast Big Rock Road, State Route 203, and Northeast Cherry Valley Road.

184th Avenue Northeast – North of Redmond, 184th Avenue Northeast will be closed near Northeast 116th Avenue Northeast from 7 a.m. Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 18 so crews can replace a culvert. During the project, one lane of the road will be open to local traffic only.

204th Avenue Northeast – Crews will be replacing a culvert underneath 204th Avenue Northeast east of Woodinville and south of Paradise Lake. The road will be closed at Northeast 186th Street from 7 a.m. Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 25. Motorists can detour via Northeast 202nd Place, 194th Avenue Northeast, and Woodinville-Duvall Road.

Old Stevens Pass Highway – The Miller Bridge on Old Stevens Pass Highway near Skykomish will be closed Tuesday, July 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a routine bridge inspection. Motorists can detour via State Route 2.

Foss River Road – The Foss Bridge on Foss River Road near Skykomish will be closed Tuesday, July 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a routine bridge inspection.

Northeast 106th Street – Northeast of Redmond, one lane of Northeast 106th Street east of Avondale Road will be closed until further notice due to damage to a small bridge.

Southwest 112th Street – King County Road Services Division will be making repairs to Southwest 112th Street in the White Center area. The road will be closed through Thursday, July 3 at 4:30 p.m. between 16th Avenue Southwest and 17th Avenue Southwest. A second closure begins Monday, July 7 between 16th Avenue Southwest and 15th Avenue Southwest.

Kanasket-Kangley Road – Crews will be replacing failing culvert underneath Kanasket-Kangley Road east of Black Diamond that will result in a road closure near the intersection with Kanasket Estates Road until 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 16. Motorists can detour via Retreat-Kanasket Road and Kent-Kangley Road.

SE Green Valley Road – One lane of Southeast Green Valley Road will be closed at the Patton Bridge until further notice. A temporary traffic signal is in place to control traffic flow over the bridge. Or, motorists can detour via Southeast Green Valley Road, Auburn-Black Diamond Road, and 218th Avenue Southeast.

North Fork Road Southeast – Wagners Bridge, which carries North Fork Road Southeast over the North Fork of the Snoqualmie River about 10 miles northeast of North Bend, is closed for construction. The road is a popular access point to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness for hikers and recreationalists. While the bridge is closed, motorists can purchase a vehicle access permit into the backcountry, or access the Alpine Lakes area on Forest Service roads from the north and east.
